【摘要】:Sulfurpresentasmercaptansorashydrogensulfideindistillatefuelsandsolventscanattackmanymetallicandnon-metallicmaterialsinfuelandotherdistributionsystems.Anegativeresultinthedoctortestensuresthattheconcentrationofthesecompoundsisinsufficienttocausesuchproblemsinnormaluse.1.1Thistestmethodcoversandisintendedprimarilyforthedetectionofmercaptansinmotorfuel,kerosine,andsimilarpetroleumproducts.Thismethodmayalsoprovideinformationonhydrogensulfideandelementalsulfurthatmaybepresentinthesesampletypes.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
