【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofdielectricstrengthofsolidelectricalinsulatingmaterialsundersimulated-lightningimpulseconditions.Proceduresaregivenfortestsusingstandard1.2by50sfull-waveimpulses.Thistestmethodisintendedforuseindeterminingtheimpulsedielectricstrengthofinsulatingmaterials,eitherusingsimpleelectrodesorfunctionalmodels.Itisnotintendedforuseinimpulsetestingofapparatus.ThistestmethodissimilartoIECPublication243-3.AllproceduresinthistestmethodareincludedinIEC243-3.DifferencesbetweenthistestmethodandIEC243-3arelargelyeditorial.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionstatementsaregiveninSection9.
