【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofethersandalcoholsingasolinesbygaschromatography.Specificcompoundsdeterminedaremethyltert-butylether(MTBE),ethyltert-butylether(ETBE),tert-amylmethylether(TAME),diisopropylether(DIPE),methanol,ethanol,isopropanol,n-propanol,isobutanol,tert-butanol,sec-butanol,n-butanol,andtert-pentanol(tert-amylalcohol).Individualethersaredeterminedfrom0.1to20.0mass%.Individualalcoholsaredeterminedfrom0.1to12.0mass%.Equationsusedtoconverttomass%oxygenandtovolume%ofindividualcompoundsareprovided.Alcohol-basedfuels,suchasM-85andE-85,MTBEproduct,ethanolproduct,anddenaturedalcohol,arespecificallyexcludedfromthistestmethod.ThemethanolcontentofM-85fuelisconsideredbeyondtheoperatingrangeofthesystem.Benzene,whiledetected,cannotbequantifiedusingthistestmethodandmustbeanalyzedbyalternatemethodology(seeTestMethodD3606orD4420).ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Alternateunits,incommonusage,arealsoprovidedtoincreaseclarityandaidtheusersofthistestmethod.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
