【摘要】:Thepurposeofaninterlaboratorystudyistodeterminethevariabilityinresultscausedbydifferencesamonglaboratoriesfollowingaprescribedtestmethod,theconsistencyfrommaterialtomaterialofthisvariability,andthetypeofadditionalstandardizationneeded,ifany.Thestudymaybemadetoobtaininformationforimprovingthetestmethodortoarriveatanestimateoftheprecisionofanexistingmethodforpublication.Itmayalsoincludeacomparisonofalternativetestmethods.Toachievetheobjectivesin1.1satisfactorily,itisessentialthatasoundstatisticaldesignbeemployedintheplanningofaninterlaboratorystudy.Thispracticegivesthebasicprinciplesinvolvedintheplanninginordertomakethedataamenabletostatisticalanalysisandinterpretation.Thispracticehasbeenwrittenforthetaskgroupchairmanresponsibleforthepreparationortherevisionofastandardtestmethod.Ittellshimwhatinformationheneedsinordertoproperlyplananinterlaboratorystudy(Sections1-10),itoutlinestheprocedureforconductingthestudy(Section11),anditgiveshimbackgroundinformationforunderstandingtheanalysis(Section12)andinterpretation(Sections13-15)oftheresults.Whiletheservicesofastatisticianarenotabsolutelynecessaryforthedesign,analysis,andinterpretationofinterlaboratorystudies,questionsoftenarisethatcouldbereadilyansweredbyastatisticianfamiliarwiththeanalysisusedherein.Hence,thetaskgroupchairmanshouldarrangewheneverpossibletoconsultwithastatisticianbothduringtheplanningandduringtheanalysisandinterpretation.ThispracticeissimilartoTAPPIT1200,whichdetailstheanalysisusingasetoftypicaldata.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
